Quantum
Devices, is proud to announce its newly formed alliance with OPTOLAB
Microsystems GmbH of Erfurt, Germany. QDI will serve as the sole
distributor of OPTOLAB Microsystems products for North America.
Quantum Devices and OPTOLAB Microsystems have both acquired a long
term, sterling reputation for producing customer specific optoelectric
systems and assemblies. OPTOLAB's engineering team has been responsible
for many of the Encoder Technology (ET) linedriver and signal processing
innovations that are currently being used by the Motion Control
Industry throughout the world today.
Most recently OPTOLAB, in response to customer feedback, has embarked
on the task of improving the antiquated bipolar line driver designs
to take full advantage of the latest CMOS fabrication technology.
The result of their efforts has produced a new CMOS linedriver family
that is not only inherently more cost effective, but will also provide
the Systems Design Engineer with many new innovative features that
were not possible with the old technology. Below are the current
differential lindrivers that are available from OPTOLAB. To view

OL7272 Industrial 30 Volt 4-Channel Differential Power
Linedriver
The
OL7272 is an industrial power linedriver that contains four identical
short circuit proof differential linedrivers up to 30 Volts driver
supply with a joint enable function. At overload there is a thermal
shutdown feature which can be disabled by the user. The high data
rate and immunity to cable inductance and capacitance makes it an
ideal linedriver. The small outline SOP package gives excellent
thermal power dissipation, thus it is ideal for use in space limited
applications.
OL2068 Industrial 30 Volt 4-Channel Differential Power
Linedriver
The
OL2068 is an industrial power line driver that contains four identical
short circuit proof differential linedrivers up to 30 Volts driver
supply with a joint enable function. An internal 5V power supply
is used as a reference and supply voltage for the circuitry. Furthermore,
the OL2068 is able to supply max. 5mA for external 5V components
like a sensor or a constant current source for a LED. The very small
outline TSSOP package gives excellent thermal power dissipation,
thus it is ideal for use in space limited applications.
